Land Development Engineer

NMB provides professional services to both public and private sector clients including land surveying, land development, site planning and design, municipal engineering and construction management.

Due to our strong relationships with our current client base, Nielsen Madsen + Barber is growing and looking to fill several new positions in all departments including an experienced Land Development Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil design related to land development.  The candidate should have a good working knowledge of surveying; site development; site grading and drainage; storm water management; sediment and erosion control practices; sanitary sewer collection and water distribution; and parking lot and roadway design.

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; various hydrology and hydraulic software packages and the overall development permitting process is a plus!

Project types that the successful candidate will be assigned consists of a mix of commercial developments; new industrial facility designs and expansions; single-family subdivisions; multi-family apartments and condominium developments.

Nielsen Madsen + Barber also has a strong presence in the K-12 and post-secondary education markets providing land planning; pre-referendum budgeting; design and construction related services.  The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to collaborate on these types of projects.
