Land Survey Crew Chief

NMB provides professional services to both public and private sector clients including land surveying, land development, site planning and design, municipal engineering and construction management. Due to our strong relationships with our current client base, Nielsen Madsen + Barber is growing and looking to fill several positions in all departments.

Position: LAND SURVEY CREW CHIEF

Position Type: Full-Time Employee

The successful candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in land surveying or related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree in land surveying or related field plus one (1) year of relevant experience..

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Registration as a Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or the ability to obtain registration within six (6) months.

  • Experience with boundary surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking + layout.

  • Knowledge of legal descriptions.

  • Experience with AutoCAD and / or Civil 3D.

  • Experience with GPS and robotic total station operations.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team

  • Possess organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects / tasks.

  • Be able to work on project teams and communicate effectively.

  • Enjoy the challenge of working on diverse projects that contribute to building strong client relationships.

  • Self-motivation.

  • Excellent written, verbal, mathematical and organizational skills.
