Survey Crew Chief

Position Type: Full-Time Employee

Nielsen Madsen + Barber, a southeast Wisconsin Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm has an immediate opening for a Survey Crew Chief.

The candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to utilize his / her surveying and organizational skills to complete a variety of land surveying projects.

The successful candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in land surveying or related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience OR a bachelor’s degree in land surveying or related field plus one (1) year of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will have any / all of the following:

  • Registration as a Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or the ability to obtain registration within six (6) months.

  • Experience with boundary surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking + layout.

  • Knowledge of legal descriptions.

  • Experience with AutoCAD and / or Civil 3D.

  • Experience with GPS and robotic total station operations.

In addition, the candidate selected to fill this position shall possess the following:

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • Self-motivation.

  • Excellent written, verbal, mathematical and organizational skills.
